2019年11月9號，係柏林圍牆倒塌30周年，德國總理默克爾夫人响紀念活動表示：
"The values on which Europe is founded -- freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law, respect for human rights -- are anything but self-evident. And they have to be filled with live and must be defended again and again."
（歐洲嘅價值觀就係由此而起，自由、民主、平等、法治及尊重人權，現實證明呢啲代表全部嘢。
而呢啲價值係要給予生命力同必須一次又一次咁捍衛。）
P.S. 响1961年8月13號柏林圍牆興建開始到1989年11月9號倒塌期間，因為試圖由東柏林越過圍牆逃亡而被射殺嘅人，有記錄嘅有二百幾人，無記錄嘅無數。
